Baton Rouge's chapter of IIDA visits Ann Connelly Gallery

On March 14, 2012, the Baton Rouge chapter of the International Interior Design Association met at Ann Connelly Fine Art for an informative presentation about fine art prints. Representations of photographs and paintings were exhibited in both original and print form. The displayed prints consisted of high-quality fine art prints alongside prints purchased from online vendors. The goal of the meeting was to articulate the differences between fine art, fine art prints and lower quality prints of original artwork.

Ann Connelly presented the prints, displayed on both archival paper and canvas, and discussed the differences in price and quality.
David Humphreys, artist and fine art printer, spoke of the conservation of the work’s integrity throughout the printing process. While online print vendors are typically copy-paste jobs, higher quality giclée printers attempt to create fully saturated blacks and clean whites, as well as a full range of midtones.
